NEW SITE

Well, after MONTHS of "learning" how to make a site, I am ALMOST to the point of being finished. No changes have been viewable on the current site...didn't want to confuse anyone by constantly moving things around. =) My goal is to have it up and running on Monday and I will send a mass email letting everyone know.
Also, in honor of my new accomplishment (haha) I will have a couple of SALES...including a holiday sale and a school-fundraising sale!

'Tis the Season

I hope everyone had a FUN & FABULOUS Halloween. =) I had fun with my little trick-or-treaters...Mackenzie seemed to enjoy her first one! Chase was a Rock Star and Mackenzie was a Rock Princess - her outfit was adorable! I had a lot of fun making it and will post pictures soon.

I am working on my website this weekend, so hopefully it will look prettier. =) It's a new thing for me and definitely something that has to be developed...and I'm doing the best I can.

Happy Halloween

Can you believe it's already that time of year again!? I've started some cute Halloween/fall designs and will be posting them periodically. The first one I've done is a pumpkin design - very cute! It's a great size...not too large and not tiny, either. For my girls I went with tank tops (it might be Halloween, but it's still 88 degrees here!) but I can put it on longsleeves or sweatshirts, if you are lucky enough to have cooler weather already. =)

NEW Binkie Blankets!

Wow - what a summer! It didn't seem to go by very fast, but looking back I guess it did. =) Kids are back in school (WAHOO!) so I am starting back on my projects. Lots of fun things to come...but very first is a new style of Binkie Blankets. These ultra cozy Binkie Blankets have one side of cozy fabric and the other is a very soft chenelle! Very girlie (sorry boys). More pictures to come...

Bummer

Well, I'll be taking a short break...my machine broke. =( Singer has it and said it will be up to 2 weeks for repair. SO, I will work on some sewing, but nothing monogrammed will be available.

I did finish two 4th of July dresses - here are the pictures, although not great ones. =) I'll have to post the ones I receive of the girls wearing them!

Exciting news!

I just returned from a trip to visit my parents in Birmingham and am SO EXCITED to tell you that a store in Homewood is going to carry the Binkie Blankets! =) I will provide you with the information once it's final, but it's an awesome start!

Keychain

I thought long and hard for the perfect gift for my grandmother's birthday...she'll be 90. So I thought it would be nice to make a keychain since she still drives (she's good!) and has house keys and all. It was a lot of fun to make. =)

Birthday Dress

This is a birthday dress I made for a friend's soon-to-be 2 yr old. It will ultimately have a monogram on it with "2" and her name...but it turned out super cute!

4th of July Pillowcase Dress

A friend of mine asked me to make 4th of July dresses for her girls...here's a picture of one in progress. It's not sewn together yet, just pinned - but it's starting to look really cute! I'm gonna monogram it (red thread) and I'll put a picture of the finished product up as soon as it's complete.

I'm making Mackenzie one but I'll be sure to make them all different - I don't want anyone to have exactly the same as anyone else. =) That wouldn't make it "mine"!

On a side note, I can't believe we're almost to July 4th!!! Guess I should start working on Halloween and Christmas. Haha.

So, I wanted to share with you some of the new projects I have COMING SOON to the website! Very excited about them...can't wait to show you pictures!
First, I'm going to offer a few selections for Gymnasts and Ballerinas! I have an adorable design for leotards, so as soon as I can get those posted, I will. The leotards will be offered in black or pink and will be personalized with a name, as well. There will also be a selection of tutus! Very personalized, down to a favorite color or team name! (Mackenzie is going to be a Rock Princess for Halloween, complete with red & black tutu!)
I am also working on some items that will be wonderful for baby gifts! They include a personalized "soft block" set and a My First Family Album, complete with personalization for YOUR family.
I'm very excited about these new things...as soon as I can get them up, I will share them with you!

Chase's Gymnastics Bag

My project today (among many!) was a jersey backpack for Chase to take to gymnastics...it turned out really cute!!! I'll post a picture as soon as I can download the few HUNDRED that are on there right now. =) I will be offering these bags in a few different colors, with endless options of monograms and appliques! The price per bag is $18 and that includes the monogram! Great gifts for those ballerinas, swimmers, gymnasts...I could go on and on. =)

Almost finished...

As you can see, there have been a few changes to the look of the website. =) My brother fixed the part I needed help with, so I am ALMOST to the finish line!!! It'll take me a bit, but I'll let you know when it's complete.

I'll be adding a few more pictures this week of some new things I've been working on...

Working on the website...

My brother was kind enough to try to teach me HTML coding. =) I'm not exactly gifted like my brother, so it's taking me a little bit of time to do this...but it's a project I am enjoying and one I would hang on my fridge if it were artwork! Haha...
I will be posting pictures soon of some of the current designs so you can get an idea of what I do. Burp cloths, dresses and Binky Blankets are my main thing for now!!! I can actually say I have truly enjoyed the Binky Blankets for my own use, as they make life with a baby so much easier!!! And I'm fairly proud of it, as it's my own design...

Open for business!!!

After years of wanting this, and months of getting ready, I'm finally OPEN FOR BUSINESS!!! The website is still being worked on, so for now, I will provide updates via this blog and you can email me with anything you are interested in...

The name is "mine." It's a Children's Boutique, and I will be specializing in unique children's clothing and baby accessories. Occasionally something fun and different for the adults will be offered, but for now I will stick with the kids. =) With 4 in the house, they are always on the brain!

I am creating and desiging every day, so if you have any ideas or want to see if I can make something you've seen, just let me know - I'm always up for trying something new!
